World Origami Days
Discover the magic in a simple sheet of paper.

Learn simple models that you can use to decorate,
to teach, to share, to enjoy.
Sally Shovar and Michele Croft present a fun and inspiring lesson in Origami. We will be making origami peace cranes to be displayed in the children’s library. Peace cranes have become an international symbol through the sad but inspiring life story of a young Japanese girl, Sadako Sasaki. Come learn her story and make a crane in honor of World Peace.

Legend has it that anyone who folds 1000 cranes will be granted a wish, so we are aiming for 1000 cranes!

We will also be making other origami to decorate our holiday tree for the month of December. Come along and join in the fun!
