Middle schoolers otherwise known as tweens and looking for a great read....it's The Hot List by Hillary Homzie. Ok, so this is one that is so new that there are only three in the Pines Library System. You will have to inter library loan The Hot List but it is worth the wait. This book is about navigating the maze of friendship as Sophie realizes that her friendship with Maddie is changing now that Maddie is hanging out with the popular girl, Nia. Sophie is determined to do anything to keep things the same. Thats where the "Hot List" comes in. Sophie comes up with some crazy antics to keep Maddie focused on their friendship and the Hot List gets out of hand. It's all about those tricky middle school friendships and also a story of new found confidence.
