September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month for Public Libraries
There is no better time of the year than September to sign up for a library card! This month, libraries across the country are celebrating the value of getting a library card.
Mrs. Croft invites all first graders to sign up for a library card during September and receive a free Applebees Dessert Shooter coupon.
A friendly competition will be held to determine the teacher with the most students with a library card by the end of September. The library will keep track of first graders who sign up, their teacher and class. If you already have a library card, simply come by the library to have your name added to the list. The winning class will receive a Scholastic reading prize for their classroom.
Students, remember to bring a parent or legal guardian along with you to the library to sign for permission. Parents photo ID/proof of address will be needed also.
